After experiencing the Comrades Marathon from Pietermaritzburg
to Durban this year as a non-runner I had to get this blog out to
all the long distance runners where ever they may be in
the world. The energy at the start,5:30am, was filled with
excitement,anticipation, smiles etc.
My brother Rynaard De Klerk

to run 20 and beyond.

The customary "crowing of the cock" sounded in the, still dark fresh chilly, morning and then the starting shot that sets of all the excited runners on the long run of 89 kms.
It took about twelve minutes for all the runners to pass us where we stood next to the road.
All twenty three thousand of them this year.
Then a strange silence filled the cold morning air. The energy of all the
runners gone!.
It was then that I knew I had to be part of all the
runners where ever they are by means of support
and help them enjoy the sport they love
This is after a run.
It still boggles my mind why would somebody
run approx. 89 km?. I would like some comments.
I know I will never attempt it, I am not a runner.
But this is not about me, it is about all the runners
all over the world.
My brother, in the photos, tried and tested three products: "EMPACT", "SPORT" and "AMBROSTART" while preparing for the Comrades Marathon and was so impressed that he used it during the Marathon and after the Marathon. A day after the Marathon he had no more muscle pains and felt great. In his words:"You can say that this stuff really works". He should know as he did 17 Comrades Marathons and had no aches and pains during the Marathon.

If only one long distance runner benefits from this blog, then I will be glad. Hopefully more will get to read this blog and spread the word.
My last word to you all: Happy running and feedback will be appreciated.
